3 Ultimate Hacks For Better Sleep
It’s no surprise that having a good night’s sleep comes with a truckload of benefits - it helps your body to recover and helps you feel more rested the next day, and helps strengthen your immune system too! However, the main issue most of us face is either not being able to fall asleep at night, or not getting some good quality ZZZs. We totally get that it can be frustrating having to roll in bed for hours, so we’ve put together some hacks that’s gonna get you snoring ASAP!

1. Sip Some Tea

Something that we’ve found that really helps us get some good quality sleep is including a caffeine-free calming herbal tea before bed. Drinking certain types of herbal tea before snoozing can give your body a calming effect, that helps relax your body and mind before bed.

However, not all herbal teas are equal and our Night Cleanse night time tea is definitely our go-to, with it’s all-natural blend of calming ingredients like peppermint and lemongrass leaves, and also helps to reduce bloat! Enjoy a cup once every alternate night to help you feel relaxed and ready for bed.

2. Eat Clean, Drink Less

Having a clean and healthy diet is always important and we’re giving you another reason why you should start eating clean. Whether you’re looking to get a good night’s sleep or trying to shed some pounds, your diet and mealtime matters! Eating a late, unhealthy dinner may not only keep you awake, but may also result in digestive problems such as indigestion and heartburn, on top of weight gain. Try giving your body at least 2-3 hours between your last full meal and bedtime, to avoid sleep and digestive issues. Drinks like alcohol and soda also affect your sleep quality - try avoiding them after 4pm, as even though you feel more sleepy after a couple of glasses of wine, being able to fall asleep and getting a good night’s rest are completely different. Stimulants such as sugar, caffeine and alcohol found in food and drinks blocks adenosine, a chemical that we need to fall asleep naturally. This prevents you from getting a well-rested and healthy night’s sleep, leaving you feeling restless the next morning.

3. Get Moving!

It’s always good to get up and get moving, especially after a whole day of being glued to your seat in the home office. We’re not talking about a full-on HIIT workout if you’re not into that, but even just getting up for an evening jog around the neighborhood or a good stretch sesh would be good to keep your blood pumping! If you’re looking for something in between an evening jog and a stretch sesh, check out our go-to beginner friendly yoga sesh that we love to end our day with!

The Main Takeaway

Getting a good night’s rest is extremely essential, as it not only affects your productivity but also has both short and long term effects on both your mental and physical health as well.
